Pattern has taken over the Clore Art Studio
Last month we had artists’ Sarah Marsh and Jessica Wild in the Laser Studio cutting shapes from Perspex and wood for Manchester Art Gallery's Clore Art Studio.
They have created a space for families to interact with ideas and each other, exploring pattern in exciting and innovative ways. Shapes, materials and the colour palette have been informed by the adjoining exhibition; House-Proud.
The shapes that Sarah and Jessica have been cutting in the laser studio can be hooked onto a giant pegboard to explore pattern through repeating, layering and tessellating the shapes.
Clore Art Studio is open for families and visitors of all ages and has regular art clubs for babies, early years and families.. Follow Manchester Art Gallery on Twitter and like them on Facebook to find out about upcoming exhibitions, events and activities.
