Fred Aldous Leeds is One!

This time last year we were getting ready to open our doors in Leeds for the very first time.  You might remember last year the Manchester team went over to visit the store and we announced that we would be opening in Leeds; when we visited, the space was desperately in need of some TLC. But, after few months of hard graft we managed to completely transform the look and feel of 34 Kirkgate; our signature pegboard was in place and we were ready to welcome in the creatives of Leeds. The past year has been a complete blast and we couldn't have done it without our wonderful team of staff and of course, you our customers. It's been great getting to meet all the creative people in Leeds, seeing the work they create and hearing about the projects they are involved with. Over the course of the year we've welcomed in 19 local artists to produce a canvas to adorn walls, partnered with East Street Arts to deliver a street art project on Kirkgate, worked with local community interest project Playbox and of course helped people in Leeds to make anything! To celebrate that we are one, and as a thank you to all the creative people we have met we would like you to join us on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October.  As a thank you to all of you that have made this first year possible we are are taking 15% OFF EVERYTHING in store for that weekend. The first 50 customers to spend over £10 each day will win a special goodie box worth £65, filled with creative supplies from some of our most popular brands such as Windsor & Newton, Leuchtturm, Daler Rowney, Derwent and many more. Every customer will get a free Fred Aldous Tote Bag and unique treats made by us in our studios. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Fred Aldous party without some creative activities for you to take part in. Across the two days the team will be asking you to Make Your Mark, where you will get a chance to add a drawing to the display of artworks by the Leeds creatives. You can get your Three Minute Portrait drawn by local artist Bobbi Gastall aka Bear Cubs on Saturday or by Buttercrumble on Sunday. And finally, you can use our B&W vintage chemical photobooth for free all weekend.
