If you have passed by our Manchester or Leeds shops, you will have noticed that Lazerian has filled our windows with striking Colorplan paper creations as a teaser for G.F Smith's Paper City event for Hull City of Culture celebrations.
When you pass our Manchester or Leeds shop, don't forget to snap a picture of the display. If you tweet your picture to @GFSmithpapers and @FredAldous by Monday 3rd July you could be in with a chance of winning a G.F Smith and Lazerian prize.
G.F Smith paper have been supplying creatives with their specialist paper from Hull since 1885 so it is no surprise that they want to join in the celebrations. Across ten days they will be showcasing installations by some of the most exciting creative minds from the worlds of contemporary art, design and architecture – using their specialist coloured paper, Colorplan.
Spaces and places in and around Fruit Market will be transformed for this event, where leading artists and designers have been invited to play with the most fundamental creative material – paper. Also revealed at the launch of Paper City will be – the World’s Favourite Colour.
The creatives participating in ‘Paper City’ are Adam Holloway, Max Lamb, Lazerian, Made Thought, Jacqui Poncelet, Joanna Sands, Bethan Laura Wood and Richard Woods, all of whom have been invited to play with the most fundamental creative material – paper.
Please note, Paper City will take place in Humber Street Gallery plus five other Fruit Market locations.
