PrintMade window exhibition
Our latest window exhibition, a new piece of work by PrintMade invites closer inspection. Describing themselves as an assembly of like-minded makers, artists and designers, PrintMade are interested in a working methodology of collaborative practice.
The exhibition for our Manchester window features the handiness of Hannah Gibson & Tim Isherwood. Both inspired by the landscapes they inhabit; they have produced printed geometric patterns which evolve into a colourful, layered environment of their own. Housed in a series of boxes the participant can explore the work through a variety of peepholes.
Further to this exhibition, PrintMade present a range of handmade, one-off books, produced as part of their working methodology and process of making, in the vitrines in the Graphic Design studios on the 5th Floor of the New Adelphi building, Salford.
PrintMade will be on display in the window of our Manchester shop until Monday 9th October.
Hannah works on a range of personal and commissioned projects involving illustration, textiles, screen-printing and digital design. When she's not doing that, Hannah can be found teaching on Graphic Design at Salford University, drawing or day-dreaming.
Tim has worked as a freelance designer/ illustrator/ artist and typographer since graduating from Stockport College in 1994 and teaches on the Graphic Design course at Salford University. His specialism is in the area of Typography, using the medium in the production of artworks for exhibit, illustrations for commission, and typeface creation for freelance and research based purposes.
