We seize every opportunity to paint outdoors, whether it be shutters, old toilet blocks, bollards or lamp posts. It provides a perfect 24/7 showcase for artwork and helps brighten up once dull, uninspiring spaces.
The Great Outdoors
Stevenson Square, Manchester
Stevenson Square has been our home for over half a century. We are very fond of this Square and are dedicated to improving the area and making it more inviting. Who knew an old toilet block could look so good!
Edge and Tib Street, Manchester
Concrete blocks have been installed as part of the ongoing improvements in the Northern Quarter in Manchester. They do a decent job of keeping us all safe, but they're not easy on the eye. Thanks to the talents of Clare Birtwistle, these once dull grey blocks have been transformed into striking 2-ton works of art, expertly painted by the super duo of Jay Sharples and The Hammo.
Kirkgate, Leeds
Kirkgate, one of the oldest streets in Leeds, has been the home of our second store for the past seven years. It has also been a perfect canvas for our Artists in Residence to showcase their talents. The once heavily graffiti-covered shutters and shop fronts have been beautifully transformed, giving the units a temporary boost as they await their permanent renovation.
Fitzalan Square, Sheffield
At present, only the front of our Sheffield store has been painted. But stay tuned as we hope to add more spaces to showcase the work of our current Artist in Residence soon.
